Every year the World Open Chess Tournament offers an open analysis area where you can show your game to a Grandmaster and have him tell you how awful you are playing.
They used to always have Pal Benko analyze the games, but he was a real prick and would tell people that they're stupid, or suggest that they shouldn't even be playing chess.
Palatnik was very funny and warm (for a Russian). His humour is very dry, which is typical of these Russian players. He's definitely old school and a product of the Cold War chess era where players who showed promise were treated like rock stars and had their every need taken care of while they did nothing but play and study chess.
It's no wonder that at least half of the top rated players at any given time are usually Russian.
