I am deeply disturbed by what happened to poor Oscar Grant at the Fruitvale BART station on New Years Eve/Day. I sincerely hope that the officer who shot grant in the back goes down, and that BART will establish a civilian oversight program.

They should have been over. And again, I get surprised feeling them.

This reporter loves to spread hysteria about sex offenders based on little or no facts, like the fact less than 10% re-offend and many have committed non-violent crimes (source : Department Of Justice). This fear-mongering harms many families, including children, by inviting misguided vigilantism.

Flores is another island where most residents are Christians. My driver told me that NTT (Nusa Tenggara Timor) is listed as the second most corrupted region in Indonesia. But I have not encountered such event, nor did I detect it.

I think the fact was twisted. I find them hardworking, polite, honest and friendly people.

To me Java is the most corrupted island in Indonesia. Makassar is not far behind too.
