We celebrated our family Christmas tonight, which is Christmas eve, since we are going to my parents house tomorrow to celebrate with my parents and siblings. We had a nice Christmas eve dinner with a whole selection of different appetizers and we even had some sparkling grape juice to drink! Also, Gracie wanted it to be a "fancy" dinner, so we ate by candlelight.

We all exchanged our gifts, and the kids were very excited by some of their presents. One of the best parts was watching Gracie give her gifts to Micah and Sophie, that she picked out all by herself at the school "Christmas store." She was allowed "x" amount of dollars to spend on each of her mom, dad, brother, and sister; and then she got to pick whatever she could find for that amount that she thought we would all like. She got Sophie a REALLY cute Strawberry Shortcake backpack and Micah a bat and ball that he just can't wait to play with.

Faythe and I exchanged some nice gifts with each other, and then we let the kids play for a little while with their new toys until we went to bed so could get up bright and early for church tomorrow morning.

Wednesday drew 1-1 with Blackpool on Boxing Day this year - my first trip to Hillsborough and possibly not my last.
